XDA forum members ChiefxReloaded , Enatefox and Azuske have successfully ported Google Nexus One Android 2.2 ROM to the T-Mobile G1 aka HTC Dream and the MyTouch 3G aka HTC Magic and have now managed to get the FRF50 ROM running on both G1 and MT3G.

Android 2.2 ROM being in alpha offers functionality such as Calls, 3G, LEDs, Call audio, Gapps and Notification bar. Currently, wifi, camera, GPS,default wallpaper and external audio. Make sure not to install flash else browser will crash.

It seems that the hacked Android 2.2 ROM is much faster than Android 2.1 and almost 2 to five times faster than 2.1 as promised during the Google I/O keynote. There are many other useful features that come with android 2.2 update. Visit here for feature list of android 2.2 Froyo.
