We already know that Android 2.2 (codename Froyo) will support the Flash Player 10.1. However, it is not clear that the Android smartphone will have pre-installed Flash version or required to download Flash 10.1 for android separately. However, this integration will enable the websites supporting Flash content to be accessible from the Android devices running on android 2.2 Froyo Operating system. Many sites have already optimized their content for android 2.2 Froyo OS like Blip TV, Dailymotion, Justin.tv, Miniclip, Armor Games, BBC, Wall Street Journal Online, National Geographic and more. The list is long and obviously created for the official presentation.

Smartphones like Nexus One, Droid and HTC EVO 4G are eligible for the android 2.2 upgrade. To my utter surprise, Droid Incredible is not listed. As soon as you update your phone to android 2.2 froyo, the browser will prompt user to select “View Flash enabled websites” or “Get Adobe products” upon the first launch and display a list of Flash sites.
The complete list can be found for Nexus One and Motorola Droid. Most likely the Flash 10.1 support would be announced on the top of Android 2.2 at Google I/O event in May 2010.
