HTC Droid Incredible to Get Android 2.2 Froyo Blessing on August 18

Mashable is reporting that the Android 2.2 OS Froyo update on the Droid Incredible will start next Wednesday, August 18. According to some legit sources froyo update for DI is essentially ready for primetime as some Verizon team members have already installed froyo port on their Droid Incredible.

Android 2.2 Froyo build for Droid Incredible was quite obvious and we knew it will be coming very soon. It was already reported that the delay in OTA update for HTC Droid Incredible was because of Android 2.2 and that the update is scheduled in late July or early August.

If you cannot hold your appetite, you can install the leaked Android 2.2 (Froyo) with Sense UI for Droid Incredible. The good news is that all features are working including camera. Once froyo is installed you will be getting 802.11n WiFi, 3G Mobile Hot Spot, HTC Widget: Email, HTC Widgets like, News, EAS Updates, 720p Video Recording, Amazon MP3, Skype and My Verizon and many more features on your Droid incredible, as reported earlier.

Those who do not know, Android 2.2 is much faster than Android 2.1and almost 2 to five times faster than 2.1.
