Apple has sent a formal letter to Gizmodo, requesting them to return their “prototype iPhone 4G” handset. The letter was signed by Bruce Sewell, the Senior Vice President & General Counsel of Apple Inc and can be seen as attached below. The letter now makes truthful testimony of the whole story on the next iPhone prototype in Gizmodo’s possession.

According to Apple the iPhone in their possession was not stolen but lost, and requested formally to return back, after providing the coordinates for pickup. California’s laws are clear, in fact the owner of an asset, in this case Apple has the right to claim refund for three years from the time of loss, and it is the duty of those who collect or otherwise notify the owner to return the object found so you can return it.
Now and then the iPhone 4G prototype should be already in the process of return, although Gizmodo may have however found some other information in the meantime that could unravel in the coming days.
