Vietnamese guys have again shifted their gears and have posted yet another scoop. After pictures of the prototype iPhone 4G, the Vietnamese site today leaked the next iPod Touch (probably iPod Touch 4G) with a 2-megapixel camera and backside illuminated sensor (OV2665-6s) manufactured by Omnivision.

The prototype model of the iPod Touch with camera is supposedly marked with ‘DVT-1′. DVT stands for “Design Verification Test” and reflects a very advanced level of production unit that allows the device to be approved not only in appearance, but also other factors such as durability, ease of use, moisture resistance and so on. It would thus be a phase in which the design of the iPhone has already been decided. If a device is not marked DVT before final release then the final version will receive only a few small tweaks.

The sticker at the back shows the prototype iPod Touch 4G manufactured by Foxconn with 64GB memory and is running some sort of firmware diagnostic software. Similar images we have seen in the past when two new upcoming iPod touch models with “CAMERA” were up for grab on Ebay.

No one knows how these people managed to take possession and even if it is a future generation model of iPod Touch or if they belong to the one presented last September. Ostensibly, the iPod Touch’s serial number identifies a late 2009 third generation iPod touch which was never made to production.
Though the images and videos looks legitimate, but still the veracity of these purported iPod Touch 4G devices cannot be ascertained to be real device which is slated to be presented in September this year. Steve Jobs earlier announced that it was impossible to get a camera in a device so thin. But the said devices has a camera, may be because these are in semi-finished stage. Steve Jobs would like take away the camera from the 4th generation iPod at the last moment.
