How to Archive Applications on your BlackBerry

Blackberry recently launched BlackBerry App World 1.1.0.11. With this update customers can now archive their blackberry apps to microSD Card or on-device storage memory and restore it when they want to use them. Below is the step by step process of how to archive and restore blackberry applications with microSD Card.

How to Archive Applications on your BlackBerry:

Step-1 Navigate to “My World”, you will notice the new menu option “Archive”. 

Step-2 Click option “Archive”. BlackBerry App World will uninstall the application from the device memory and store it on the microSD card.

Step-3 It is advisable to reboot your BlackBerry phone so that all the applications gets stored in SD card.

The icon will have a green arrow in the bottom corner (as shown in screenshot below) indicating that the application has been archived.

Step-4 Click on the icon and you will be prompted to see if you want to restore the app (as shown in the screenshot).

Note - Restore can also be achieved from inside BlackBerry App World.
