Rejoice Blackberry users! Screenshots and full details of RIM’s much anticipated operating system Blackberry OS 6.0 has been leaked in the wild. BGR was able to get first hold of BlackBerry OS 6.0 Screenshots and Specifications from one of his AT&T connect. OS 6.0 looks to be a very clean with enticing UI for the BlackBerry platform.

BlackBerry OS 6.0 Feature Details
- WebKit based new browser, sporting features like tab switcher, new favorites and multitouch.
- A new, completely revamped media player. To browse the album art work just touch with your finger and then touch the specific album cover to play it.
- “Kinetic Scrolling” makes your experience smooth when scrolling through lists, web pages, emails, and more.
- Multitouch system-wide, from the web browser to the photos application with support of pinch to zoom.
- Better UI for message inbox featuring larger thumbnails to the left of each message to identify the type of message (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
- The homescreen is now made up of individual, customizable pages allowing you to add applications on the main page. To browse different applications, you need to slide left or right to another page. It resembles with the Android’s homescreen minus support for widgets.
- Modal popups with gestures like context menu. If you tap and hold, you will be prompted to make a selection from a group of 9 icon centered on the screen.
About a month back, Blackberry OS 6.0 possible pictures were leaked out and appear to be of a blackberry device running OS 6.0 with the UI of Google Android phones supporting widgets. Surprisingly, BGR claims that the said OS will not support widgets. Once the blackberry rolls out its upcoming OS 6.0, we would have more information. It is being reported that BlackBerry OS 6.0 will hit the market in the June or July.
