Access Flash Content on iPhone & iPod Touch with Cloud Browse

by Chris on April 16, 2010

We all know that accessing flash on iPhone through Safari or via the new Opera Mini browser is not possible. Do you want to access Flash and Java on iPhone? Want to access flash enabled sites to view animation and play games? Well, you can easily do that now! Cloud Browse application developed by AlwaysOnGames promises to prevent the limitations of a mobile browser and have all the functionality of a desktop browser like Firefox with the ability to view flash content.

Cloud Browse iPhone App01

This Cloud Browse browser can play both flash video and java applications on iPhone, both of which are not supported on the iPhone Safari browser. The usage is very simple, in fact Cloud Browse lets you see flash content by connecting to a remote desktop browser, allowing you to see any kind of content. This remote computer is fully flash and java enabled allowing you the access the web like you do on your desktop computer. The browser comes packed with full multitouch pinch capabilities to zoom in and out of sites as well as flick scrolling.

 Cloud Browse iPhone App02

The Cloud Browse iPhone app is currently free and is being distributed only in US. Make sure to immediately download the application before developer adds fee on it after seeing its growing popularity. Cloud Browse is compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, requires firmware version 3.1.2 or later.

I would be worried about security issues. It says we have to connect to a desktop computer running apps that use flash. If it isn't MY desktop computer, then whoever runs it can intercept all usernames and passwords to sites I visit. Not good.

I agree with the person below me. Either there's the possibility of what he/she said, or maybe ( I don't know for sure) you can go into private browsing mode. Even with that, if someone intercepts your text imputs while their heading to the virtual computer or real desktop whichever it is, they would then have your password. So i don't know if it's a good idea…

ALSO, the only way to get this as of now is through "Installous" ( a jailbroken Cydia app) since Apple removed it because it had flash. Man does Apple really hate flash….

If all of the people who use Apple products such as iPad and iPhone hate flash so much, then why would anyone download it? According to them it's "bad".
