If you are running Skype on jailbroken iPhone iOS 4 / 4.0.1 with JailbreakMe 2.0, you must be facing lots of issues. Saurik has just released a new update for MobileSubstrate that brings us to version 0.9.3226-1, in order to fix issues in Skype. It readily fixes broken ‘view full profile’, and multitasking (including tapping on the red bar) also works flawlessly.

The latest version of Skype which was released a few weeks back in the AppStore, works well with the native iOS 4, supporting Multitasking. Unfortunately, Jailbroken iPhone and iPod Touch users found several problems associated with it. However, by installing updated MobileSubstrate, things will change and Skype will work flawlessly again.

To resolve and troubleshoot all the problems with Skype, launch Cydia and apply updated MobileSubstrate version 0.9.3226-1 on your jailbroken iPhone and iPod Touch on iOS 4 and other linked apps. It sits nicely in the background!

[Update 1] - The latest MobileSubstrate 0.9.3226-1 has a bug that locks up google maps. To resolve the issue, Saurik has just released a new update for MobileSubstrate that brings it to version 0.9.3228. As stated on Twitter, this update fixes a bug with the native Maps application.
