iTunes 10 has witnessed a major change in its interface that not only differentiates it from prior versions of iTunes but also from most other OS X applications, and that is the placement of the close, minimize, and Maximize buttons which are now in a vertical orientation.

In iTunes 10 Apple has removed the title bar and repositioned the buttons vertically. But the changes can be reverted back easily. Just follow the simple steps below that will fix the iTunes 10 vertical spotlight buttons.

How to Fix iTunes 10 Minimize, Maximize, Close Buttons
Step 1: Close iTunes 10
Step 2: Navigate to the Terminal (Applications > Utilities > Terminal) and enter the following command
defaults write com.apple.iTunes full-window -boolean YES
Step 3: Re-launch iTunes 10
Voila! The stoplight buttons (Minimize, Maximize, Close) will now appear as in prior version of iTunes.
