Apple iPhone 4 press conference was held on Friday to address consumer concerns with the iPhone 4′s antenna. CEO Steve Jobs, in his presentation, completely denied having hardware issue with iPhone 4 and outlined that the iPhone 4′s attenuation issues are common to smartphones. Ostensibly, Steve Jobs maintained that only a small number of users are experiencing a problem, Apple is offering all iPhone 4 customers a free case through September 30. Many bloggers are reporting that an Apple-supplied “bumper” case solves any call quality issues, preventing users from touching the gap on the left side in the iPhone’s antenna.
Notably, you will get a refund if you’ve already purchased one of the $30 bumpers, and Apple will partner with third-party vendors to offer a choice of cases. If you are still not satisfied with your iPhone 4, you can return it within 30 days of purchase for a full refund.
