Geohot Closed his Blog for Public, Goes “Private”!

Yesterday, Geohot, who is also known a father of all iPhone jailbreaks, bids goodbye from all future iPhone jailbreak and unlocking scene. But to my utter surprise, Geohot said that the image posted was completely fake and he is not going to release iPhone jailbreak and unlock tool in near future. The shocking news was indeed good for Steve Jobs but not for his thousands of fans who were eagerly waiting for iPhone 4 jailbreak tool since its launch.  

Surprisingly, this afternoon, Geohot closed his Blog (iphonejtag.blogspot.com) to the Public which was the only way one could keep up to date on his jailbreak tools. You now need to be personally invited to his blog. Shortly after closing public viewing of his blog, he tweeted and urges to Follow @Mikecohenn for Jailbreak updates on Twitter.

George Hotz behavior towards his fans is very annoying. Being a public figure he should know how to handle his fans and situation. He is not the only one who is getting nagged by fans. He could have disabled comment section on his blog instead of blaming the public for his decisions. He could have stated that he will not support iPhone Jailbreak in future instead of teasing the public with picture of his work. This is insane! Isn’t?

But why Geohot quits jailbreaking iPhone? Which of the option you think have forced the little genius to take this drastic step?

• Not getting enough donations from his fans to continue his work.
• Got humungous amount of money from Apple.
• Does not find any challenge in iPhone Jailbreak.
• May be he lost bet to Mike Cohenn in FIFA world cup [humor]
