iPhone Dev team’s Lead Hacker Musclenerd has completed the testing of Stefan Essar’s untethered iOS 4.3.1 Jailbreak exploit, and will be released today (USA Time). The exploit has been ported into both Redsn0w and PwnageTool to jailbreak iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4G / 3G, 1st-gen iPad on iOS 4.3.1 including Apple TV2 4.3 firmware. For obvious reasons we have cited earlier, iPad 2 cannot be jailbroken right now!

Musclenerd has provided a new option in redsn0w that allows booting custom kernel+devicetree. Notably, this option is meant only for kernel hackers like @comex and @i0n1c and not for general iPhone users. it’s command-line only and will allow theme to experiment independent of overall JB infrastructure)
