iPhone 4G HD images were posted by Engadget blog on Saturday that was reportedly been found on the floor of a San Jose bar camouflaged inside an iPhone 3G case. Two days after, Gizmodo, a competing gadget blog, got hold of it and posted photos and videos of fourth generation iPhone and published detailed evidence to support the claim. New York Times reports that Nick Denton, founder of Gawker Media, paid whopping $5,000 for the iPhone 4G to the person.

According to Apple critic John Gruber of Daring Fireball, Apple considers the fourth generation iPhone 4G prototype being showcased around the world to be stolen and not a lost device. John Gruber added that Gizmodo purchased this unit about a week ago, from those who claimed to find it and further added that Apple has indeed lost a prototype iPhone and they want it back.
Apple is known for its secrecy, and if this is a real iPhone 4G or iPhone HD model which is going to be unveiled by Apple this Summer, that’s got to be a major blunder on their part. However Apple was unable to comment.
