Activate and Unlock iPhone 4 iOS 4.0.1 without Original SIM card

Few days back Sheriff Hashim posted video showing procedure that allows you to activate an iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G without the original SIM card. Soon after, Apple got the phonebook SIM card trick and fixed by hooking the activation wildcard ticket to the ICCID of the used SIM. However, you can bypass this block with a patch. Follow the simple steps listed below in order to activate iPhone 4 without the original SIM card.

Those who don’t know, iPhone Activation and unlock are two different things. Phonebook card is used for activation so that you can use your iPhone like a iPod. Ultrasn0w is a carrier unlock tool for iPhone, which can then be used on unofficial carrier, like T-Mobile.

Activate & Unlock iPhone 4 without the original SIM card

Step 1: Purchase a PhoneBook Card (DITS online store or eBay).

Step 2: Upgrade your iPhone to iOS 4.0.1 and activate it with the PhoneBook Card by inserting it as a normal SIM. Your iPhone will be activated temporarily and will again stop after you remove the Card.

Step 3: Jailbreak your iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS or iPhone 3G with JailbreakMe.

Step 4: Launch Cydia and download Hacktivation Patch from the following repositories http://cydia.pushfix.info/

Step 5: After a reboot, download ultrasn0w 1.0-1 to unlock the baseband of your iPhone.

You can now use your iPhone with any SIM carrier of your choice.

I just jail broke my iphone 4 version 4.1 with baseband 4.10.1 using Gevey SIM interposer. First i need to jailbreak my iphone 4 in order for me to get pass the activation screen. Once it get pass activation screen then i am able to access all my iphone 4 feature except the making phone call. The radio part (baseband) will need to be unlock. I get a Gevey SIM interposer and follow the instruction and now i have perfect iphone 4 unlock. Keep in mind with this Gevey thingy, each time if you turn off the phone you will need to activate your baseband by going through the process which is very very simple. it will only take couple minutes. hi… is there a way to activate the iphone 3GS without using DITS card or official SIM card?
I hope there should be a way using some software for iphone activation.
I performed an erase all content and settings on my phone after which it stuck on emergency call screen.

My baseband in 5.14.02 & phone is Iphone 3G os 4.0.1, its unlock the sim, but not catching network

Hi, I bought a phone book sim card from Dits to activate my iphone 3gs. After installing the new firmware itunes requested that I insert a sim card to activate my iphone, I did, I installed the phone book sim and it didnt work. My phone would not activate on Itunes.

Hola! Cuando trato de activar mi iphone en la version 4.0 en itunes usando la phone book sim de dits itunes no reconoce la tarjeta y dice que es invalida. No puedo activar el iphone. Ya he tratado con 2 phone book sim y nada! AYUDA por favor.
