Fix iTunes 10 Crash issues on iPhone and iPod Touch

by Jeffry on September 4, 2010

Many users are reporting crashing problems when clicking on Apps in iTunes 10, on iPhone 4. The crashes in iTunes 10 occur, in most cases, because a library “IconSupport” making MobileSubstrate, including Infinidock, and Infiniboard Infinifolders unusable. To avoid iTunes 10 to crash, just disable IconSupport before connecting the device. Follow the steps below:

How to Fix crash with iTunes 10 on Jailbroken iPhone, iPod Touch

Step 1: Install and open SBSettings. Tap on the “More”.

Reboot your iPhone [via iSpazio]. If the problem persists try removing following Files:

DesktopVideoOut.component from the folders /Library/QuickTime and ~/Library/QuickTime.

Remove following .plist files in your user folder:

  • ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iTunes.plist
  • ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iTunesHelper.plist
  • ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iTunes.eq.plist

Recreate your iTunes library, if required. If the problem still persists then you may Downgrade your iTunes 10 back to iTunes 9.2.1
