Recently, Geohot released Limera1n, a new tool that allows you to run the jailbreak on the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G on iOS 4.1, iPod touch on iOS 4.1 and iPad on iOS 3.2.2 on iOS 4.1. Limera1n Jailbreak is Untethered jailbreak based on comex exploit used in JailbreakMe and can always be reused even after a new version of iOS is released. How to Jailbreak iOS 4.1 iPhone 4, 3GS using Limera1n on Windows
Step 1: Download Limera1n for windows (Download Link)
Step 2: Make sure that you are having iPhone 3G, iPhone 4, iPad, iPod Touch 3G or 4G iPod Touch running iOS 4.0 or later (up to iOS 4.1).
Step 3: Launch Limera1n by double clicking the executable file.
Step 4: Connect our iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS to your PC and click the big button and one that shows the typical phrase used in the past: “ra1n make it. ”
Step 5: The device must then be put into Recovery Mode.
Step 6: Press both the power and the home buttons.
When Limera1n asks you to, release the power button.
Your iPhone 4 / iPhone 3GS will now be in DFU mode
As limera1n performs its exploit you will see the image of a lime raindrop on your iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS and once it complete it will show following window.
Step 7: You will now notice a limera1n icon on the SpringBoard. Press it to continue. Once Limera1n opens select Cydia and then press the Install button at the top right of the screen.
Step 8: Once the Cydia installation has completed, reboot your iPhone 4 / 3GS.
Step 9: Done! Your iPhone / iPod Touch / iPad has been jailbroken and is ready for use.
