Jailbreak iPod Touch 3G iOS 4 on Windows with Sn0wbreeze V1.7

by Jeffry on July 5, 2010

iH8sn0w is about to release an updated version of Sn0wbreeze V1.7 to jailbreak iPhone iOS 4 (build 8A293) adding support to jailbreak iPod Touch on iOS 4. Sn0wbreeze v1.7 is a jailbreaking tool like PwnageTool for iPhone and iPod touch which can be used to create custom .ipsw files. But unlike the PwnageTool, Sn0wbreeze is fully compatible to work with Windows machines. If you have iPhone 3G, 3GS or iPhone touch 2G, 3G running iOS 4, you can use sn0wbreeze 1.7 to jailbreak your iDevice.

We inform you right now though, that to run it will need an iPod with firmware 3.1.2 installed, or with the ecides saved, allowing you to perform a downgrade to the same version. Stay Tuned.

They said Jailbreak iOS 4.0, not 3.1.2 or 3.1.3!!!!

What if I am unsure whether my SHSH blob files are saved or not? I jailbroke my iPod touch 64 Gig using spirit on 3.1.3 previously. I am pretty sure, but not certain, that I clicked “Make my life easier”.

If I go through with the jailbreak and I am incorrect, will my iPod become bricked?
