TinyUmbrella has now added support for iPhone 4 running iOS 4 firmware. It is being rumored that Apple might roll out firmware update to iOS 4.01 fixing antenna and other minor issues very soon. Before updating, it is important to save SHSH Blobs (ECID SHSH) files of your iPhone 4 which is very much required if you want to downgrade from iOS 4.01 to iOS 4.
Steps to save SHSH Blobs (ECID SHSH) files of your iPhone 4
Step #1 Download the TinyUmbrella tool.
Step #2 Plug in your iPhone and iPod Touch
Step #3 Launch the TinyUmbrella Tool.
- If you device is on iOS 4.0 then you can press the ‘Save my SHSH’ button and wait for the process to finish.
- If you are not on iOS 4.0 then check ‘Advanced Options’ and then next to ‘Device/Version’ change that to 4.0. Now press the ‘Save my SHSH’ button and wait for the process to finish.
