Developer richardtrip over at XDA has successfully ported android 2.2 FroYo on HTC Desire. The developer is reporting that Wi-Fi is working fine, but Bluetooth is half way working as it does start, but you can’t scan. Mic, GPS and Apps2SD are working absolutely fine. In order to use Camera just Navigate to camera app settings and set focus mode to infinity and get camera working.

The hacked Android 2.2 ROM for Desire is much faster than Android 2.1and almost 2 to five times faster than 2.1 as promised during the Google I/O keynote. There are many other useful features that comes with android 2.2 update apart from flash 10.1, native internet tethering, and application manager.
