Till now we were only acquainted with EVO 4G’s specifications, features and videos. But now, guys over iFixit has given a nice treatment to HTC EVO 4G which they received it for free at Google I/O. After playing with the giant beast, they dismantled it completely and reviewed in depth to unravel certain interesting facts. Let’s have quick snapshot about the internal components of EVO 4G underneath its beautiful 4.3-inch touchscreen. The HTC EVO 4G was found to be easy to teardown or disassemble, making servicing the phone darn simple.

Highlights of EVO 4G Internal Components:
- In case the glass of Evo 4g gets a crack, then don’t you worry. Removing the glass is very easy.
- Changing or replacing the Evo’s battery is a quick thingy. Just remove the back cover and unplug the battery. So simple!
- The 3.7 V, 1500 mAh rechargeable Li-ion battery contains 23% more capacity than an iPhone 3GS, 15% more than a Droid Incredible, and 7% more than a Nexus One.
- There’s a liquid damage indicator on the battery’s top edge. Generally, cell Phone’s warranty does not cover water damage. If this sticker gets wet it permanently changes color (from white to pink or red) and your phone is marked for water damage and eventually voiding your warranty claims.
- The Evo’s internal frame consists of stand, antennas, LED flashes, and speaker
- The dual LED flash assembly consists of no more than two LEDs soldered to a small interconnect board.
- The forward facing 1.3 Megapixel camera lifts right out of its enclosure in the top portion of the Evo 4G along with behemoth 8-megapixel camera sensor.
- Logic board includes Broadcom BCM4329 integrating Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and FM connectivity to provide speeds up to 50 Mbits/s in 802.11n, Sequans SQ1210 RF combo chip, Qualcomm’s QSD8650 Snapdragon processor, Amtel’s AMT224 Touchscreen controller, Qualcomm’s RTR6500 CDMA2000 transceiver with GPS and Qualcomm’s PM7540 power management IC.

The Evo 4G will hit the shelves starting June 4, just three days before Apple is expected to announce its next generation iPhone 4G at WWDC which begins on June 7th!. Undoubtedly, Evo 4G and the iPhone 4G may be the first mobile contenders to spark a battle for video calls. Rumorologists suggests that Apple’s new iPhone 4/HD will be sporting front-facing cameras and Video iChat but may not be work as good as on EVO 4G. But why? The reason is simple!
