HTC EVO 4G from Sprint on June 13th, 4G Hotspot to be a $10-20 Top-Up?

HTC EVO 4G smartphone was likely to hit shelves before 6th June this year as claimed by an Android certification engineer for Sprint earlier. But sources have told Engadget that HTC’s Evo 4G handset is set to hit shelves on Sunday, June 13.

According to said sources 4G will be available as a top-up on base plan which may cost between $10 and $20, a price that would include access to the EVO’s 8-device WiFi hotspot capability and won’t come standard with existing EV-DO plans.

Earlier it was also being rumored that Best Buy is briefing on the android powered HTC Evo 4G and the presales will hit this summer in May in the form of Gift card.

    Yeah… I’ve been following this for a while, and the 4g service for the phone likely won’t cost extra, it’s the hotspot feature that will cost extra. In other words, you’ll only have to pay $10-$20 more a month for the 4g service, if you intend to use the phone as a mobile hotspot, otherwise you can enjoy the 4g service for free.
