America’s First 4G Phone HTC EVO 4G has broken all previous Sales Records for Sprint on Launch Day which was previously held by both Samsung Instinct and Palm Pre. The total number of HTC EVO 4G smartphones sold on launch day was three times the number of Samsung Instinct and Palm Pre devices sold over their first three days on the market combined.
Initially there were some hiccups and the HTC EVO 4G sales led to temporary shortages of the device at some of the 22,000 sales locations across the United States, including Sprint retail stores, national retail partners including Walmart, Best Buy and Radio Shack , and indirect dealers.

Sprint HTC EVO 4G Features
- Simultaneous voice and data capability allowing you to surf web and make calls in parallel. In other phones both operations can not be done simultaneously but instead in tandem.
- Integrated Google Goggles allow you to search without writing. Just take the pictures in order to search everything from books, DVDs and barcodes to landmarks, logos, and artwork and wine labels.
- Snapdragon powered evo 4g is sporting two cameras, 8.0 megapixel auto-focus camera with HD-capable video camcorder and a forward-facing 1.3 megapixel camera. Say, goodnight to your children when you are away on a business trip!
- Integrated HD video capture allows you to capture and share live video via the Qik.
- Watch video with the device on an HDTV via an HDMI cable.
Bundled with all the HTC Sense features, HTC EVO 4G will add some new features, including Friend Stream, a social media aggregator for Facebook and Twitter into one organized flow of updates, interactive widgets, and a “polite” ringer, which quiets the ringing phone once lifted up. The phone is running Android 2.1 operating system, and more than 35,000 apps will be available for the device.
