HTC Facebook Phone to be Cynosure with Dedicated Button

by Jeffry on February 11, 2011

Facebook is gaining momentum in mobile phone offering! After the INQ ,  HTC is expected to introduce a Facebook phone at Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona next week. Unlike INQ, the HTC Facebook phone will have a dedicated button that takes users straight to Facebook.

Henri Moissinac, Facebook’s head of mobile business, said: “Mobile now is a top priority for the company. We believe every phone will become social, right from the moment you open the box.”

The Facebook-centric phones will support video and photo alerts, rather than just text, and “live” home screens that update as friends post messages and pictures on the site. It’s not clear if the button will be incorporated into the touchscreen or will be a separate physical button. We’ll likely find out more next week at MWC. For all Android, iPhone related news bits, please follow us on Twitter or become a Facebook fan.
