HTC HD2 Caught Running Windows Phone 7 Series ROM

You can now run Windows Phone 7 series ROM on your HTC HD2 Windows Mobile. Some Russian Guys have managed to port the working Windows Phone 7 ROM on HTC HD2.

Tom Codon of HTCPedia has posted some screenshot images of HTC HD2 running Windows Phone OS 7.0. Almost everything including Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth is working fine except the graphics driver which is bad and sometime lag device.

Windows Phone 7 series ROM installation or upgrade requires Back, Start and Search button on all Windows Phone 7 Series devices and HTC HD2 was missing the hardware button for Bing, and system-wide search. This was the reason the rumors surfaced that Microsoft has confirmed HTC HD2 will not have Windows Mobile 7 upgrade.

After viewing the screenshots HTC HD2 users can rejoice as the first Beta version of Windows Phone 7 Series ROM for HTC HD 2 is expected to be released soon.
