iKey, is an upcoming new dongle for the iPhone with Tethered Jailbreak without needing a computer. Recently, we posted a video on iDongle that was successfully tested on iPhone. Compared to iDongle, iKey is much smaller and faster.
iKey Hardware Solution for Tethered Jailbreak is made by Team DevilJailbre0k that has so far issued only on a video. Currently it’s a prototype that’s not finished and is compatible with iPhone 3G/3GS, iPod Touch 3G with firmware 3.1.2.

The dongle is an excellent accessory that allows all those people to start their iPhone / iPod Touch with new iBoot, without requiring a computer. iKey, being so small and fast, its credibility and actual authenticity are questionable. The iPhone video may be a standard 3G or 3GS with old and with so much untethered iBoot Jailbreak. Dongles are now making a buzzword in iPhone jailbreak community. What do you think? Will Dongles make a big way for the iPhone with Tethered Jailbreak?

Is there such a thing as a temporary jailbreak either dongle or otherwise? I have little confidence in performing a break but could do with a few apps not available for unjailbroken iphones.
So the perfect dongle for me would be a quick temp jailbreak to tether and then pop it out and back to normal.
