Apple released the first developers preview version of iPhone OS 4, along with SDK for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad for members. Few hours later iPhone 4 beta firmware for iPhone 3G, 3GS & iPod Touch 2G & 3G leaked and was made available for download.

The iPad SDK revealed many evidences like support for video conferencing iChat as well as support for a front-facing second camera. But the iPad didn’t use these features, then why did apple included them? The answer is simple. Most likely iPhone 4G/HD running on iPhone 4.0 firmware will be using these features which are slated to be launched this summer.

Next generation iPhone 4G/HD might contain following specifications. You can head over to iPhone 4G dubbed iPhone HD Specifications, Features and More for more rumored details and anticipated features.
- A4-family CPU system-on-a-chip.
- 960×640 double-resolution display.
- Second front facing camera.
- Third party multitasking in iPhone 4.0 firmware.
Third party multitasking was confirmed by Apple in iPhone OS 4.0 Keynote and was top among the seven “Tentpole” iPhone 4 firmware features announced by Steve Jobs, and SDK 4 provided some evidence for “front facing” cameras. Few days back we shared the LCD screens for iPhone 4G/HD that leaked online showing slot for front facing second camera.
Also, “iChatAgent” process running on the new operating system iPhone 4.0 is quite evident in the screenshot listed above (via TUAW ). Every day we are inching closer to iPhone 4G launch which is set to be revealed this summer and it is being rumored that iPhone 4G HD might head to the Verizon network as well.
