iPhone 5 Jailbreak to be Demoed LIVE by p0sixninja at MyGreatFest

by Jeffry on June 22, 2011

iOS hacker p0sixninja has just confirmed in a series of tweets that he would be demoing iPhone 5 jailbreak LIVE at MyGreatFest, a London-based iPhone-related convention, in case the device launches. Oddly enough, the fifth-generation iPhone launch date is still unknown and the jailbreaking community has started boasting about giving the iPhone 5 device the full-freedom.

iPhone 5 Jailbreak MyGreatFest

Why Chronic Dev Team is so much confident?

We think that p0sisninja has discovered a bootrom exploit in A5 chip which will likely to make its way on iPhone 5. Currently, iPad 2 is the only device that gallops on A5 powered chip and we already know that the team is actively hard at work to jailbreak iPad 2.

We already know that comex is prepping to release userland-exploit based JailbreakMe 3.0 for jailbreaking all devices on iOS 4.3.3 including iPad 2. The team might have discovered similar exploit in iOS 5 and could be holding just because of Comex.

First MyGreatFest event is scheduled on 17th-September and I would be incredibly surprised if this actually happened. We would be covering every bit of the event. Be sure to follow on Twitter or become a Facebook fan to get the latest updates on it. Via [Twitter]
