The Droid is a good device. Don't get me wrong. It has apps, a good camera, a physical keyboard, and so on. But quite honestly, the Droid cannot hold a match to any of Apple's mobile devices. Why? #1- It's Motorola, a company who has been vastly renown to build, how should a put it, crappy products. They build cable boxes for God's sake! #2- Android OS, no matter how many little extras they put in to "crush" Apple products, they will never do so, because they are completely playing catch-up to Apples devices. Basically, Apple has the ideas, and every other company steals them and makes them "unique", or "their own", (Cue Microsoft). And, #3 The Droid has it's hardware and software made by two different entities, which is completely doomed for failure in the software aspect of things (Once again, cue Microsoft),Cheers.

You’re comparing literal apples to oranges, but if you must here is a real-world video comparison between the lowly 550 MHz Motorola Droid (overclocked) vs the Apple iPad. Yes Droid does overclocking: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOBVJJJKuT4 and yes, this Droid is a sweet orange to say the least.
