The Dev Team has released a new beta of Redsn0w 0.9.5 and has updated to Redsn0w 0.9.5b5-3 to run the jailbreak on your iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G running iOS 4 firmware and to hacktivate iOS 4.0 for iPhone3G.

Currently, the iPhone Dev Team is working hard to jailbreak your device on iOS 4 and provide you with a carrier unlock and suggested iPhone community to hold their horses until these tools are released.
Important Points to Remember:
- If you rely on hacktivation or a carrier unlock (ultrasn0w) then you should not upgrade until iPhone Dev Team update their tools. (We will keep you posted)
- Don’t be tempted with unofficial PwnageTool/redsn0w bundles or releases.
- For now, the redsn0w beta release supports only the iPhone3G and iPod Touch 2G at today’s 4.0. It’s still a beta, so you’ll need to let Cydia reorganize, reload, and update after using redsn0w.
- iPhone3GS & iPod3G owners (especially if you used Spirit for your first JB) should stay away from iOS4 for now
