Back up Windows Phone Automatically with Microsoft My Phone

Microsoft My Phone Service allows you to sync information & content between mobile phone and the web. It lets you synchronize your contacts, tasks, photos, videos, text messages, songs, calendar appointments, browser favorites and documents between your phone and your My Phone web account.

The synced content on Windows mobile is securely backed-up to a web site hosted by Microsoft. It is important to note that My Phone service provides 200 MB of free storage on the My Phone web site. Previously, we shared similar tools like Google Sync, that allows both iPhone and Windows Mobile device users to synchronize contacts and ZYB that sync handset including Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Siemens and Motorola. To use ZYB with Windows Mobile phones you need to buy a client from a third party vendor.

In case you lose your phone or replace with a new phone, Microsoft My Phone Service allows you to restore your information from My Phone web account to your new mobile. From the web account you can also organize contacts and appointments on your phone. Make sure to sync your mobile with My Phone Service, to view the changes done.

Certain premium features are also available to secure a lost phone with which you can lock or post a message on your phone from the web or delete all personal and confidential information. Premium features of Microsoft My Phone Service are not available in all markets.
