Motorola Droid 2 Finally dropping on August 12

Best buy is confirming that much anticipated Motorola Droid 2 will be launching on August 12 as reported by us earlier. That is pretty much confirmed by now.

Specification wise Motorola Droid 2 will be galloping on Android 2.2 Froyo, 512MB RAM/8 GB ROM, 1 GHz processor, 5 megapixel camera, 3G Mobile Hotspot functionality and an 8GB microSD card preinstalled with upto 32GB expandable memory. However Droid 2 will be missing HDMI port and front facing camera.

Those who do not know, Android 2.2 is much faster than Android 2.1 and almost 2 to five times faster than 2.1. There are tons of other features that will be accompanied in android 2.2 update apart from flash 10.1, native internet tethering, and application manager.
