Droid 2 Image speaks itself! Yesterday we got hold of some Droid 2 leaked images and now trustworthy Kellex was lucky enough to acquire an image that answers almost all the unanswered questions you might have in your mind. Will Droid 2 will be launched with Android 2.2 Froyo on board? Till now, there was no sign, of it until a trustworthy resource earlier tipped that Motorola Droid 2 would be shipping with Android 2.2 Froyo instead android 2.1 and will launch on August 23. But, the image here confirms that Motorola Droid 2 is indeed coming on froyo.
Earlier we have seen Droid 2 listed as ‘coming soon’ in Verizon device catalog with some confirmed specifications – 512MB RAM/8 GB ROM, 1 GHz processor, 5 megapixel camera, 3G Mobile Hotspot functionality and an 8GB microSD card preinstalled with upto 16GB expandable memory. However Droid 2 seems to be a powerful android even without having HDMI port and front facing camera.
Those who do not know, Android 2.2 is much faster than Android 2.1and almost 2 to five times faster than 2.1. There are tons of other features that will be accompanied in android 2.2 update apart from flash 10.1, native internet tethering, and application manager.
