Why HTC is not rolling-out OTA update for Droid Incredible? What could be the reason? All of the questions have been answered by now. An unofficial but legit Verizon Tech Support [not corporate VZW] has confirmed today that, the delay in OTA update for HTC Droid Incredible was because Android 2.2 and added that the users would be blessed with Froyo update in late July or early August.

Notably, Droid Incredible will be getting 802.11n WiFi, 3G Mobile Hot Spot, HTC Widget: Email, HTC Widget: News, EAS Updates, 720p Video Recording, Amazon MP3, Skype and My Verizon and many more as reported earlier.

In addition to DI, VZW tech support is confirming that Motorola Droid too will be galloping on Android 2.2 Froyo, when asked about the update. We all knew Froyo update for esteemed Motorola Droid was coming when the build FRF84B was leaked with Root available. We even reported earlier that Motorola Droid will officially get android 2.2 Froyo blessing this summer.
Those who do not know, Android 2.2 is much faster than Android 2.1and almost 2 to five times faster than 2.1.
