Android 2.2 Froyo update to the original Droid that was pushed two weeks ago didn’t include Flash 10.1 compatibility. Finally, Motorola Droid will get an official update supporting Flash 10.1 that will allow you to play flash games, videos and internet applications. Verizon Wireless has confirmed that it is rolling out the highly anticipated Adobe Flash 10.1 update for Motorola DROID smartphone.

“Verizon Wireless has begun pushing an update today to the DROID by Motorola (introduced November 2009) that will allow customers to download Adobe Flash 10.1 via Android Market. Flash Player 10.1 provides access to millions of sites with rich content including animations, casual games, videos, rich internet applications, audio and much more.”
You can either wait for official notification alert to download the update, or try it manually by heading into Settings -> About Phone -> Software Update. The rollout is expected to continue over the course of the next few days.
