After updating the chart confirming Froyo for Droid X, one more official confirmation is coming directly from a Motorola employee named Matt who has dropped an important note in the company’s official forums confirming that Motorola will be trickling android 2.2 Froyo update on Motorola Droid by early September.

Some Droid X users are experiencing an issue using Exchange 2003 email. Though the email is arriving on the Droid X, no notifications are appearing. A fix for this will be included in the upgrade to Android 2.2 scheduled for deployment by early September.
Those who do not know, Android 2.2 is much faster than Android 2.1and almost 2 to five times faster than 2.1. There are tons of other features that will be accompanied in android 2.2 update apart from flash 10.1, native internet tethering, and application manager.
