by Jeffry on May 22, 2010

Are you Google Nexus One user? If yes, then a Pandora box with lots of goodies might arrive anytime on your Nexus One. Google has begun rolling out Android 2.2 Froyo update for the Nexus One as an OTA (Over-the-Air) download. Make sure to check the notification tray frequently for a “System Alert” for Android 2.2 blessing. Who knows? Christmas might arrive early for you!

Ostensibly, TechCrunch reporter MG Siegler confirmed that android 2.2 upgrade has actually rolled out to his Nexus One Phone and posted some pictures for your viewing pleasure and of course as a proof. It is being reported that the Android 2.2 is much faster than Android 2.1 and almost 2 to five times faster than 2.1 as promised during the Google I/O keynote.

There are tons of other features that will be accompanied in android 2.2 update apart from flash 10.1, native internet tethering, and application manager. You might like to visit here for feature list of android 2.2 froyo.

Surprisingly, Google has just rolled out its first official android 2.2 on its own android powered smartphone and not on recently launched Droid Incredible or EVO 4G. Is this a sneaky move by Google to push up Nexus One sales?

No, Google is not rolling out early on the Nexus One to slight the Droid, etc. They have complete control of the N1, other phones have wait for the OEM to support the update.
