And Mashable’s rumor that the Droid Incredible would get Android 2.2 on August 18 is just another one of those bad rumors. Verizon has officially confirmed that currently there is no ETA defined for Droid Incredible Froyo OTA update.

If you cannot wait for official froyo update, you can still install the leaked Android 2.2 (Froyo) with Sense UI on Droid Incredible. Once froyo is ported you will be getting 802.11n WiFi, 3G Mobile Hot Spot, HTC Widget: Email, HTC Widgets like, News, EAS Updates, 720p Video Recording, Amazon MP3, Skype and My Verizon on your Droid incredible. Almost all the features are working including camera.

Can everyone else view Flash on their HTC Incredible – NON froyo? I can view full flash everything… I thought we weren’t supposed to get that capability until Froyo?!

“New 2.2 Froyo says it includes flash” bla bla.
My wife’s Incredible (OS version 2.1) already plays Flash content..:-/
I don’t get it. In my point of view it does not add much as far as flash capabilities goes.
the rest of updates are cool/great add ons.
Also with the “Hot spot feature…” everyone has to pay…>:-/ not such a great verizon add on (if you want to make it hot spot capable….there is a app out there that you don’t have to pay..;) ). just “google it”! :)

It’s not that 2.1 wasn’t suppose to have flash because as we all know it did come with it though it was flash version 4 which was beta and it really did not support all flash content. The new 10.1 version is able to support full flash just like your home desktop.
