Nokia N900 owners will have first OTA software update with firmware version 1.2009.44.1 today across all territories (where the N900 is sold) and across all variants.
The Nokia N900 software update will be available as an over-the-air update or with the Nokia Software Update app on your PC, globally within the next 24 hours. Users will receive a notification in the device’s Status Area that a software update of Maemo 5 is available. Once you install the OTA update you will notice N900 showing an Ovi Store icon allowing you to connect to Ovi store (store.ovi.mobi).
Ovi store for Nokia N900, which recently got live lets you search and download apps even faster than before. When you click on Ovi Store icon, bookmark or shortcut on your N900 desktop you will be routed to a smart Ovi Store specifically for N900. A large number of apps, games, themes for personalization, movies and more can then be downloaded on Nokia N900 via Ovi Store.
