Apple has seeded the Gold Master build of its OS X 10.7 Lion operating system to developer community. The build is not meant for general users and are only available to those developers who have enrolled with Apple’s program. Build number 11A511 can be downloaded immediately from Apple’s Mac Dev Center.

Facebook is prepping to reveal something ‘awesome’ next week on July 6th at 10 am in Facebook’s Palo Alto office, reports Techcrunch, after being invited for the event. No one knows what Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is planning to launch, but it will definitely take the social networking Mogul to the next level.

Today is iPhone’s fourth birthday! The first iPhone was unveiled by Apple CEO Steve Jobs on January 9, 2007 and was released to public on June 29, 2007. Staff at Macrumors was able to procure an internal Apple sales training document detailing how officially unlocked iPhone 4 will be made available to the customer. According to the leaked document, all iPhone 4s with an AT&T micro-SIM will be automatically unlocked and will be sold at full price without signing 2-year ball-and-chain contract.

iH8sn0w has now ported Geohot’s bootrom exploit in his flagship jailbreak tool Sn0wbreeze 2.8 beta 3 to jailbreak iOS beta 2 build 9A5248d on all iOS devices except iPad 2. As there is no untethered jailbreak for iOS 5 betas, we will have to boot it into a tethered mode using iBooty, except for iPhone 3GS which is on old bootrom.

Which Cydia apps or extensions are compatible on Jailbroken iPhone 4, 3GS or iPad or iPod touch running on iOS 5 beta 1 / iOS 5 beta 2? Some of the users jailbreak their devices on latest firmware and install the applications without checking its compatibility. Some of them, like developers install Cydia apps just to test its compatibility with iOS 5.

Apple has finally blocked the GEVEY SIM, which was used to unlock iPhone 4 on firmware between iOS 4.1 to iOS 5 beta 1 on baseband 01.59.00, 02.10.04, 03.10.01, 04.10.01 and 04.11.04. The confirmation came from iOS hacker Will Strafac (via deefilippi). We are receiving more confirmation from different sources as well.

After releasing iOS beta 2 build 9A5248d, hackers started spreading thin only to test if the latest firmware can be jailbroken or not. And the good news is – ‘Yes’! Apple has not fixed the hole yet and you can easily jailbreak your iPhone, iPod touch, iPad on iOS5 beta2 using Redsn0w 0.9.8b1 on both Windows and Mac, as confirmed by Musclenerd.
