Samsung Mobile Display (SMD) announced that they have successfully developed ultra-durable type of AMOLED display that can bend and will launch in smartphones within two years. The video shows Samsung’s new AMOLED display to be very flexible, not brittle and difficult to break. Check out the video after the break!
SMD plans to place a TFT (thin film transistor) on the plastic panel and to replace the existing vinyl protection sheet with PI (polyimide) film to avoid residue upon light emission.
