The new version of the official Skype 2.0 for iPhone has been released which now allows you to make VoIP calls on 3G data network. In addition to it, you can call and instant message anyone else on Skype for free with Skype on your iPhone or iPod touch, make calls to call landlines and mobiles and send SMS anywhere in the world.


Here is the change log of the new version of Skype 2.0:
- Ability to make and receive calls under 3G network. Skype-to-Skype calls on 3G are free until the end of August 2010 (see update below), after which there is a monthly fee subject to the operator.
- Exceptional audio for Skype-Skype calls, all thanks wideband audio (codec SILK) on iPhone 3G and second generation iPod Touch.
- Advanced audio quality indicator.
- Start time is much faster.
- Quick access to the keypad from the main screen of the iPhone.
