by Jeffry on June 4, 2011

Sony Europe has now been hacked by a Lebanese hacker ‘Idahc’ and posted 120 usernames, passwords (plain text), mobile phone numbers, work emails and website addresses. In his note on pastebin he states:

Sony Europe Hacked

“I was Bored and I play the game of the year : ‘hacker vs Sony’.” He posted the link to pastebin with the simple note “Sony Hacked: pastebin.com/OMITTED lol.”

Idahc is the same hacker who targeted the Canadian Sony Ericsson site in May, 2011. The hacker used the same standard SQL injection techniques to decrypt customer passwords in plain text which was used by LulzSec group two days back.

It seems someone has put the spell that anyone (Sony) try to harm the hacker (Geohot) will be chased by the pharaoh’s curse. Well, Sony’s string of security problems could trigger more hackers to attack its networks. We will update you as and when we get more information on this.
