Andrew Sherrard, VP of Production Innovation for T-Mobile had stated that myTouch 3G  will be upgraded to Android 2.1. The update is under testing and will be released after the testing is completed. The upgrade will include the up-gradation of the vanilla Android UI to Sense UI which is build for “T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide”.

It is being reported that the HTC magic aka MyTouch 3G will also support features like “Genius Button” which was supposed to come in “T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide” in which there is a physical button present on the handset that acts as a voice-command interface, enabling translation of speech-to-text of text messages and email, as well as allow some software to be accessed via voice.

Now, here we have a mystery that how this feature comes to MyTouch 3G upgrade without a physical button on the handset. There is no specific information available as to how the genius button will be implemented but it is rumored that a Virtual Genius Button will be provided in the upgrade instead of a real hard button.
