How to Fix Cydia Crashing Issue on Jailbroken iPhone OS ZodTTD Repository

Is your jailbroken iPhone facing crashing problem in Cydia? The reason for persistent crashing is due to a simple Mac-Roman encoded character in one of the packages file distributed via Cydia on December 28. ZodTTD repository installed in Cydia might be the culprit to crash Cydia on your jailbroken iPhone or iPod touch but there are some speculations that the actual reason for the crash is Cydia’s problem with decoding the characters instead of with macciti/zodttd’s source.

How to Fix Cydia Crashing due to ZodTTD repository

Follow the instructions listed below to troubleshoot cydia crashing problems on your iPhone or iPod touch without having to restore your device.

  1. Connect to your iphone/ipod via either ssh, mobile terminal, ifile, diskaid or some other type of usb file system browser.
  2. Browse to /private/etc/apt/sources.list.d directory on your iPhone or iPod touch.
  3. Delete cydia.zodttd-1.com_repo_cydia_dists_stable_main_binary-iphoneos-arm_Packages.
  4. Install the new update to cydia to fix this.

Note : if you have apt7 installed, you may simply run the following code

apt-get update
