OK, so I just wanted to try this to check out the native interfact (because I'm an X-WinMobile user). I didnt see any difference, and now, my HTC Sense has no defaults.

How do I put this back the way it was?

This person is right; you can even do this on the HTC Hero and use the android interface.

No. This does not turn off Sense UI. All this does is set the Home app to the default 2.1 launcher. You'll see this if you open Contacts. The Sense version of People is still running. The guys over at XDA dev forums are working on a 2.2 port though. No Sense in that ROM. (No pun intended.)

The Sense UI is beautiful,however devices with Sense don’t get updated very fast and easy!

Ummm… that's just changing the launcher app, NOT making it a standard Android 2.1 image or "turning off Sense UI."
