Unlock 04.26.08 to 05.13.04 Baseband on iPhone 3GS/iOS 4 with ultrasn0w 0.93

This is HUGE! Ultrasn0w 0.93 has been released by iPhone Dev Team to unlock all iPhones baseband 05.13.04 on iOS 4 and 05.12.08 on iPhone 3.1.3 respectively.  Ultrasn0w 0.93 works for all basebands since iPhone 3.0 FW and make sure to disable 3G if you are on on T-Mobile USA.

How to Unlock iPhone 3.1.3 / iOS 4 Baseband 04.26.08 to 05.12.08 with Ultrasn0w 0.93

Step 1 - Start ‘Cydia’ on your jailbroken iPhone 3GS iOS 4 springboard.
Step 2 - Select ’Manage’ tab at the bottom of your iPhone screen and then select ‘Sources’.
Step 3 - Select ‘Edit’ and then select ‘Add’. Now enter a URL source. Type ‘repo666.ultrasn0w.com ‘  and select on ’Add Source’. Once Cydia has added the source click on’Return to Cydia’ button.
Step 4 - Once the installation is completed. Search for ‘ultrasn0w 0.93′ in Cydia and install it.
Step 5 - This app will automatically unlock your jailbroken iPhone baseband 05.13.04 (on iOS 4) and 05.12.08 (on 3.1.3).
Step 6 - Reboot it. You have now successfully unlocked iPhone 3.1.3 / iOS 4 firmware running 05.13.04 and 05.12.08 baseband respectively or any baseband since iPhone 3.0 FW.

    I wish to unlock this, but before that I wish to upgrade it to iOS 4 and then unlock it.

    Would my baseband change if I upgrade it? And if yes, will I still be able to unlock it?

    Jailbroke my 3g 05.12.01 with spirit but this won't work. Every time I reboot the phone with my tmobile sim it just says searching, then cydia says there is an upgrade for ultrasn0w. Have repeated this process 5 times now. What am I doing wrong?

    Jailbroken with Spirit which installed Cydia. Followed the instructions and diabled 3G network on my iPhone 3Gs before installing UltraSn0w 0.93 through Cydia. Rebooted and then enabled 3G network.Worked like a charm!iPhone 3Gs, 3.1.3, 05.12.01

    You're welcome Orlando_ss. I've read on some other blogs that it works on the 3gs, you have to point the program (redsn0w 0.9.5b5-2) to the actual 4.0 software, not the beta.

    apparently just upgrade to 4.0 with ITunes 9.2 and then download Redsn0w 0.95b-1 and then point Redns0w to the GM 4.0 release to jailbreak iphone 3gs.
