Apple’s iPod Touch Prototypes with Camera Sticking on eBay

Two new upcoming iPod touches with “CAMERA” and a development version of the iPod OS is up for grab on Ebay. The two prototypes of the iPod Touch with camera are supposedly marked with ‘DVT-1′ and  ’DVT-2′, ‘Apple Development Team’ and one is running some sort of ’switchboard’ OS window that allows you to perform various tests including the screen and camera.

If you recall the leaked next iPhone 4G prototype had also DVT written on it. Apple critic John Gruber explains: “DVT” stands for “design verification test”, an Apple production milestone. The DVT milestone is marked to the devices when the design is almost fixed.

No one knows how these people managed to take possession and even if it is a future generation model of iPod Touch or if they belong to the one presented last September. If you want to participate in the auction simply place your bid. Your bid should be high enough to outclass Apple and Gizmodo to take possession of these third generation prototypes of iPod Touch.

The veracity of these purported iPod Touch devices is still unknown. Steve Jobs earlier announced that it was impossible to get a camera in a device so thin. But the said devices selling on eBay has a camera, may be because these are in semi-finished stage. Steve Jobs would like take away the camera from the 3rd generation iPod at the last moment.
